We collect information from you when you register on our site, book a viewing, subscribe to our mailing list, arrange a valuation and/or use our e-payment service to make an online payment.

Keeping information about you secure is very important to us and certain sections of the site may encrypt data using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorised with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.  However, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be totally secure.  As a result, whilst we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information which you send us, and you do so at your own risk.

Your rights

You have the right, subject to payment of a small fee (currently £10) to request access to personal data which we may process about you.  If you wish to exercise this right you should:

  • Attach cheque in the above amount made payable to BTWCairns
  • Specify the personal data you wish access to, including any account or reference numbers where applicable

You have the right to require us to contact any inaccuracies in your data free of charge.  If you wish to exercise this right you should:

  • Specify the information that is incorrect and what it should be replaced with

You also have the right to ask us to stop processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes.  If you wish to exercise this right you should:

  • Provide us with enough information to identify you
